Matt has over twelve years of environmental and geological experience managing numerous environmental, geological/geotechnical, and hydrogeological investigations and remediation projects throughout Wisconsin. His experience includes tank closure assessments, site investigations, work plan preparation, remedial action plans development, and supervision of remedial technologies for petroleum impacted sites; Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments. His field experience includes supervising the subsurface investigations, soil and groundwater sampling/testing, conducting Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments; and conducting pre-demolition asbestos, lead based paint, and hazardous material inspections. Listed below is some of his environmental--related experience:
STH 44 (Witzel Avenue-East Ninth Avenue), Oshkosh, WI:
As part of a Phase 2, collected soil and groundwater samples in the vicinity of five properties based on the results of a Phase I.
STH 41, Winnebago County, WI:
Performed asbestos building demolition surveys.
STH 23 (Johnson Street Bridge), City of Fond du Lac, WI:
Documented the abatement of asbestos containing thermal system insulation. Emergency response was initiated to coordinate abatement and not halt construction activities.
Dolomite Crushed Aggregate Quarry, Oshkosh, WI:
Performed geological investigation to determine economic feasibility of underlying St. Peter Sandstone.
Marion/Pearl Redevelopment Area, City of Oshkosh, WI:
The redevelopment area consisted of over 12 different past property owners/operators. The activities completed on parcels consisted of Phase I ESAs, Phase II, asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, and/or remedial activities. The sources of funding included state and federal grant programs.
Former Boat Works Marina, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, WI:
Conducted a limited environmental investigation of this previously dredge lagoon to evaluate the environmental quality of the Fox River sediments at this location. The project consisted of collecting native soils and sediment samples from below the lagoon bed, laboratory analysis to characterize the deposits for potential disposal/management purposes.
